Yesterday, I sent out the following letter to subscribers of my Haunting Danielle newsletter:
Haunting Danielle, Book 3 was initially slated to be released January 1, 2015. I intended to take advantage of Amazon’s pre-sale feature (as I had with Book 2 in the series), which would have have Book 3 for sale prior to its actual release date, and then on January 1, it would automatically go to all those who placed an order.
Unfortunately, life got in the way and I decided it best not to offer it at Amazon for pre-sale.
What happened exactly? Some of you know both my mother and mother-in-law lived with my husband and me. My mother-in-law lived in a guest house on our property, and my mother lives in our house with us. Both ladies turned 86 last year.
At the end of October my mother-in-law went into the hospital, and after two weeks and two surgeries, she passed away. Despite her age, it came as quite a shock to us. According to the doctors she was doing well and about to come home, and considering her father lived to several weeks short of his 100th birthday, we thought she’d be around longer.
In the midst of planning her funeral and settling her estate, I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. As you can see, with all this going on, promising a book for a January 1 release date didn’t seem like a great idea.
I had surgery on December 2, and next Monday I go see the Chemo and Radiation doctors to schedule my treatment. What’s in store? I have no idea.
I am currently working on Haunting Danielle, Book 3—I’ve the story partially written, with the rest of it rattling around in my head. I would love to promise the book by the end of January, and it is possible, yet I can’t make any promises. I have no idea how I will react to chemo. I’ve one friend who recently went through this, and had no problems. She didn’t get sick or miss a beat. Yet, I have other friends who talk of nausea, brain fog and other unpleasant stuff.
I wanted to let you know what is going on with the current book in the series. As soon as I send this email off, I intend to get back to writing – Haunting Danielle, Book 3.

After re-reading what I wrote, I have to say I was optimistic to say it was possible to have Haunting Danielle, Book 3 out by end of January 2015, considering everything. However, it will be released in 2015; I just can’t guarantee precisely when. Hopefully I will know more in a couple weeks. In the meantime, I continue to work on the series.

Thanks for all your kind words! I have jumped back into Haunting Danielle, Book 3. When I have a better idea of its release date I’ll post the information on my blog. 🙂
While I’d live to read the 3rd installment rather sooner than later, your health is more important than anything else. Sending healing wishes!
Oops – love not live 🙂
Thank you 🙂
Thinking of you, Praying for you and wishing you a speedy recover. Just can’t wait for book three!!!
Thank you for taking the time to update everyone. Good luck with everything! I will be praying for you and pray you sail thru the chemo! I absolutely can not put your books down! Be well and I will keep my eyes on lookout for book 3!
I’m so glad you’ve been enjoying my books! Book 3 of my Haunting Danielle series is at the beta readers, and will be going to the editor next week. If all goes as planned, I’m hoping it will be out by the end of the month. I feel terrific by the way and it turned out I did NOT have to have chemo! Woohoo! I am having radiation, but only 3 weeks, and I only have 9 treatments left. I feel very blessed!
The best thing is to take of yourself. Even though I can’t wait until book 3 comes out. Healing comes first. I love the first two I will wait for three. Take care. An advid reader.
Loved both books! They catch you in the beginning and it’s hard to stop reading. You are a great author. Keep them coming. Hope you are doing well and done with your radiation. Diana Weiberg
Thanks Diana! I’ll be done with radiation on Thursday, just four more treatments! Woohoo! Going well. Happy to hear you’ve been enjoying the series. Book 3 is heading to the editor and I’m starting on Book 4! — Bobbi aka Anna J. McIntyre
